Alan spent twelve years in the New Zealand Army, the last nine being with the Special Air Service (S.A.S.). He served several tours with the counter terrorist team, and finally as assault group commander was responsible for the training and management of all entry team personnel.

In February, 1989, Alan left the Army and was sponsored into the United States as a subject matter expert in the field of counter terrorism. For two years he worked in Beverly Hills, CA as a close protection team member as well as conducting numerous courses for the US Military and Law Enforcement Communities. Alan is still active in the dignitary protection field and has performed security details in over twenty countries worldwide.

In 1991, Alan moved to Memphis and established the Tactical Explosive Entry School. This internationally recognized school conducted specialty classes for military and law enforcement personnel who were tasked to operate in high risk environments. Alan sold this company in 2005.

Alan has been a reserved deputy with the Desoto County Sheriff's Department (SWAT Team) since 1992.

Since 1993, Alan has worked as an independent contractor for the U.S. Department of State's Anti Terrorism Assistance Program that trains foreign law enforcement officers in skills associated with counter terrorism. This training is conducted within the United States and at select locations abroad.

John Mayer

John is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces Engineer Sergeant from Ft. Bragg, NC. During his 20 years of service, he deployed to the Middle East in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm and several deployments to Central and South America . John has successfully completed various courses of instruction including the Special Forces Engineer Course, Special Forces Advanced Reconnaissance Target Interdiction Course, Demining School, Advanced Urban Combat Course, Advanced Breaching with Tactical Explosive Entry School and National Security Associates, NRA Instructor Course with Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun. For John's last two years of service, he served as the Master Breacher Instructor for 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) After retiring from the Army John became the lead Breaching Instructor for Olive Security Training Center. John is now part owner and Director of Training for Tactical Energetic Entry Systems.

Paul Reel

Paul Reel was an explosive and tactical instructor for Tactical Explosive Entry School and OSTC from 2003-2007. As a law enforcement officer, Paul was a full time member of the DeSoto County (MS) Sheriff's Department from 1998-2003. His duties included patrol, criminal investigations and he was an assistant team leader and explosive breacher for the SWAT Team. In 2008, he rejoined the same department where he worked in the narcotics and gang division and also rejoined their SWAT team.

Paul left the department in 2010 and became a full time instructor for TEES. Paul kept his reserve status with the Sheriff's Dept and is still active with SWAT operations. Additionally, Paul has also conducted training in Brazil, Thailand and Iraq.

Max Joseph

Max has been involved in special operations and training since 1983. He has trained and worked with law enforcement counter-terrorist officers and military personnel from Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and South America. In addition to running TFTT/Direct Action Group, Max also proudly served as the Senior Instructor for the Tactical Explosive Entry School from 1993-2005 both in the United States and Brazil. He is recognized as a subject matter expert in explosives for subjects relating to tactical breaching and other special operations skill sets. He also has extensive experience in executive protection and has worked details in Central America, South America, Eastern Europe and Afghanistan. He is currently an adjunct instructor with the US Department of State's Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program.

Rob Ulisney

Rob is a current full time law enforcement SWAT officer with the Montgomery County Police Department in Maryland. As a former member of the United States Navy SEALs, Rob was deployed to the Middle East in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm. He was also a member of a small unit that was quickly assembled and deployed to Mogadishu, Somalia during the initial rebel uprising. Rob became a police officer in 1994 and in 1996, he joined the ranks of the MCPD SWAT unit where he is currently their lead explosive breacher and an entry team member. He is also a graduate of the Baltimore County sniper school, a less lethal instructor, chemical agent instructor and a Maryland State certified firearms instructor.

Stewart Blackton

Commander Stewart started his career at the Orange County Sheriff's Office in June 1980. Since that time he has been assigned to Uniform Patrol, Narcotics, MBI, CID/Sex Crimes, Ranch Unit, SWAT, Underwater Search and Recovery Team, and currently commands the Hazardous Device Team. Stewart has successfully completed various courses of instruction including U.S. Army's Hazardous Device School, U.S. Army Marksmanship Training Unit Sniper Course, Nuclear Agent Handlers School, Live Nerve Agent School, Advanced Explosive Destruction Techniques Course, and numerous Explosive Breaching Courses.

Stewart has authored several articles published in The Detonator, and Florida SWAT magazines. He sits on the SWAT Round-up Committee and is an adjunct instructor for the Institute of Police Technology and Management (IPTM), Florida SWAT Association, Valencia Community College, and the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA).

John Cook

John is a lieutenant with the Polk County Sheriff's Office in Central Florida where he has worked since 1984. His previous assignments include Task Force Agent for the Tampa, Florida Office of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and commander of The Narcotics Investigations Section of his own agency. He is presently the Tactical Commander for his agency's Emergency Operations Group and has been involved with S.W.A.T. since 1987. John is a certified instructor in firearms, rappelling, chemical weapons, narcotics investigation and enforcement, and other areas relating to tactics and officer survival. Shortly after September 11, 2001 John was called upon to instruct in the area of firearms training for the Federal Air Marshall program and he is presently an instructor for the United States Department of State Anti Terrorism Assistance Program DOS/ATAP. John has conducted training all over the U.S. and in Jordan, Tajikistan, and Bangladesh.

Cliff Woitena

Officer Cliff Woitena has been employed by the League City Police Department in Galveston County, Texas since 1999. In addition to his duties as a Field Training Officer, Cliff is also the Assistant Team Leader for the agency's part-time SWAT Team where his duties include that of a Primary Breacher. In this capacity, Cliff has participated in several operational explosive breaches. He has also crossed trained as a sniper, hostage negotiator and is one of his Departments training officers in the areas of firearms, tactics, pursuit driving, less lethal options and use of force.

Prior to becoming a police officer, Cliff was a Sergeant in the Infantry of the United States Marine Corps. He served with the Marine Corps Security Force Company Charleston and with Bravo Company 1/1. During his time in the Corps, Cliff was trained in over the horizon boat raids, gas/oil platform seizures, maritime interdiction operations and hostage rescue.

Jeff Nyce

Sargeant Jeff Nyce is an active 26 year veteran of the Montgomery County Department of Police. He is a team leader with over 20 years S.W.A.T. experience having participated in 30 operational explosive breaches and almost 3000 entries. He was a member of the assault team that captured the "Snipers," Malvo and Mohammed. He is a graduate of the U.S. Marine Corps Scout Sniper Instructor School, Baltimore County Sniper School, numerous explosive entry schools and has received training for S.W.A.T. Operations in the CBRNE Environment. He possesses a Maryland State Blaster's Permit, and is an instructor in firearms, CQB, and chemical agents.

Bill McQuiggan

Bill is a full time SWAT officer with the Montgomery County Department of Police in Maryland. As a team leader and lead breacher, he has conducted well over 1,000 entries and participated in dozens of operational explosive breaches. Bill’s current, real world experience in the tactical community is his strongest asset. He has coordinated and run regional training throughout the National Capital Region, and is a long time board member of the National Capital Region SWAT Association. Bill is an independent contract instructor, and subject matter expert for the U.S. Department of State’s Antiterrorism Assistance Program, training members of foreign law enforcement agencies in current, counter terrorism tactics.

John Nettles

John Nettles has over 23 years of organizational, management and military operational experience through his involvement with the US Army Special Forces, Government agencies and private security companies.

John has managed personal security details and surveillance detection/counter surveillance in multiple countries for the US Government as well as private security companies. He has consulted for several security companies regarding Kidnap and Ransom (K&R) and provided security and vulnerability assessments. John has been utilized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for military type publications. He has developed and managed the Military Division for a multi million dollar training facility which trained Tier 1 & 2 military units. He developed Programs of Instruction (POI) and was the primary instructor for one of the US Army Special Forces CQB courses.

Since 2001, John has managed, led and advised three separate indigenous counter-terrorism units both in Afghanistan and Iraq, of which two of the units were the National asset.

Marty Adcock

Officer Marty Adcock is a 9 year veteran of the League City Police Dept. assigned to the Training Division. Marty has been a member of his agency's S.W.A.T. Team for 7 years working in the capacity of an entryman / breacher, as well as being cross trained as a Sniper. Marty was instrumental in the development of the explosive breaching program for his agency and has since participated in several operational breaches.

Marty holds an Advanced T.C.L.E.O.S.E. license and is a certified instructor in firearms, pursuit driving, tactical vehicle intervention, less lethal munitions, chemical agents, and breaching. Marty has been an Adjunct Instructor for the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training program since 2005, training law enforcement and military personnel nationally. Marty holds an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and is actively pursuing an advanced degree. Prior to his employment with the League City Police Department, Marty served operationally in Operation Desert Storm as a Reconnaissance Marine, in the United States Marine Corps.

Ron Yanor

Ron Yanor retired from civilian law enforcement with 25 years of service. He spent 19 years on a 22 operator, multi-jurisdictional tactical unit; with 9 years as the training and intel officer. Since 1999 Ron has been a contract trainer and currently operates Adamax Tactical Academy in Illinois. He is a certified instructor in multiple tactical topics and a published author. He holds a bachelors degree in education and has traveled to TEES Brazil.

Kevan Gillies

Kevan, a British ex patriot resident in Brazil for over 30 years is Director of Training for TEES BRAZIL (former Latin American branch of Tactical Explosive Entry School) and has been instrumental in designing training programs for special police units operating in extremely high risk urban environments. Kevan's operational experience includes extensive patrolling in the Favelas (slums) of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo as well as various hostage rescue missions and operational explosive breaches.

Trent O'Brien

Trent works fulltime as a Team Leader and Chief Trainer for an International Organization providing close protection related services for tier 1 dignitaries in Africa, the Middle East and Europe. Trent retains certification in fields including firearms, Krav Maga, Force-on-Force and Reality Based Training and concepts of executive / close protection. Trent worked as a private contractor and continues to consult for TEES as needed.

Trent was an officer with the Australian Protective Service where he was involved in vital asset protection of commonwealth property and personnel as well as Air Security Operations (Air Marshal), and diplomatic protection functions as seconded. In addition to security and law enforcement training, Trent is a qualified Emergency Medical Technician-(Tactical), and US DoD Unexploded Ordnance Technician and Military Master Breacher.

Todd Taylor

Todd is retired after 20 years of service as a Senior Police Officer and from the Des Moines, Iowa Police Department. He is a former United States Marine and is a retired firearms instructor from the 132nd Security Forces Squadron, Iowa Air National Guard. During the last 17 years on the Des Moines Police Department he was assigned to the Uniform Division, Special Operations Section, full time Tactical Unit. He held positions as Assault Team Member, Sharpshooter, Assault Team Leader and Tactical Firearms Instructor.

Since his retirements, Todd has been extensively involved in the law enforcement / military tactical training arena as a fulltime instructor. Most recently, he has worked exclusively as an instructor for the U.S. Department of State’s Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program teaching Crisis Response Team, Advanced Crisis Response Team courses and primarily Tactical Command and Control periods of instruction.
