CLIFF WOITENA - Breaching and Tactical Instructor

Officer Cliff Woitena has been employed by the League City Police Department in Galveston County, Texas since 1999. In addition to his duties as a Field Training Officer, Cliff is also the Assistant Team Leader for the agency’s part-time SWAT Team where his duties include that of a Primary Breacher. In this capacity, Cliff has participated in several operational explosive breaches. He has also crossed trained as a sniper, hostage negotiator and is one of his Departments training officers in the areas of firearms, tactics, pursuit driving, less lethal options and use of force.

Prior to becoming a police officer, Cliff was a Sergeant in the Infantry of the United States Marine Corps.  He served with the Marine Corps Security Force Company Charleston and with Bravo Company 1/1. During his time in the Corps, Cliff was trained in over the horizon boat raids, gas/oil platform seizures, maritime interdiction operations and hostage rescue.
